Inventory Tracking/RFID
Sprint offers RFID scanning via handsets, and readers to help control shrinkage, establish JIT inventory management, and track students and assets.
Bar Code Scanning
Sprint has several bar code scanning options from ruggedized devices like the Intermec to simple accessory plug ins allowing for such things as security patrol verification of building visitations and simple asset and inventory tracking.
Communications Interoperability
The Sprint-Nextel network affords the ability to integrate with traditional LMR systems through IP gateways, VOIP, and console integration. As a standalone the Sprint-Nextel network has provided a reliable secondary network to link multi-jurisdictional organizations when they are on disparate LMR networks.

Interior Emergency Phones
Utilizing IDEN SIM cards, Sprint provides a unique and simple ‘PA’ type wall device w backup power, which bypasses the PSTN, and provides the ability through simple software for campus security to see which room the emergency is occurring in as well as auto-answer features.
Mission Critical Networks
Sprint has the largest all native IP MPLS backbone in the world. Over 25% of today’s internet traffic runs over the Sprint backbone with redundancy and additional capacity built-in. In addition the Nextel network is the largest trunked radio network in the world. With the Direct Connect feature bypassing the PSTN and solutions for public safety like Priority Connect, the network has been proven to be reliable in crisis like 911 and the east coast blackout.
