What is IACLEA-L
IACLEA-L is a
list serv discussion group administered by IACLEA staff through the
same service provider that hosts our web site. IACLEA-L is a closed
listserv available only to IACLEA members. In creating IACLEA-L, we
chose to limit the participants to IACLEA members. An employee
of a member institution is not eligible
to subscribe unless he/she is a member of IACLEA.
We will be using IACLEA-L to provide you with valuable and timely
information in the future. For example, all legislative updates will
be announced on IACLEA-L as soon as they are received. You will receive
notification of Board and Committee updates.
In addition to
receiving information, you will still be able to post the questions
that you need to have answered from your colleagues. A member of the
list asks a question or reports on some piece of news. Other members
may either just read it or pass along their own comments and advice.
Recent topics have included how to prosecute trespassers, where to
buy badges, and how to set up a Parking Advisory Committee on campus.
As long as it relates to campus law enforcement and campus security,
any topic is appropriate for discussion on IACLEA-L. To post a message
to IACLEA-L, the recipient address is now IACLEA-L@lyris.iaclea.org
All IACLEA members
who have provided IACLEA headquarters with an email address has been
added to IACLEA-L. As new members join, they are automatically added
to IACLEA-L if they have provided an e-mail address on their membership
application.
Here are the instructions to change your IACLEA-L messages to a once daily digested form:
1. On the Internet, go to lyris.iaclea.org
2. Enter your email address. Click on Login.
3. Click on My Settings
4. Click on IACLEA-L
5. Change Membership Type to digest: one daily email with all the messages for that day
6. Click Save
If you are a member
and not subscribed to IACLEA-L, send an email message to asking to be subscribed. Please include your name
and the name of your institution/company.

If you are a member and wish to be subscribed
to on IACLEA list serv, please fill out the form below.
You must be a member of IACLEA to subscribe. Employees
of member institutions are not eligible to subscribe unless you are

IACLEA-L list serv. This list serv is open to IACLEA members only
and is automatically provided as a benefit of your IACLEA membership.

and procedures will provide you with the guidelines that have
been established for usage of IACLEA-L. Please keep a copy of them
for future reference.
From time to time,
IACLEA will provide important and timely updates regarding Association
or legislative activities that impact you in your position as a campus
public safety professional. You may also use the list to gather information
from your colleagues on a particular subject or circumstance that
you deal with in the day to day performance of your job. We hope that
