IACLEA/ Motorola Foundation
Scholarship Eligibility and Application Process
Eligibillity Criteria
To be eligible to receive an IACLEA/Motorola Foundation scholarship of $950 to defray the cost of attending the Executive Development Institute, candidates must be:
- A member of a racial/ethnic minority group or other under-represented group, including females
- Currently employed as a mid-to-senior level association professional with a minimum of three (3) years experience in campus public safety or as a chief/director for a minimum of one (1) year
- Demonstrated professional, volunteer, civic/community leadership experience
While membership is not required for a scholarship, preference is given to individuals who are IACLEA members
Application Process
Candidates who have at least three (3) years of campus public safety management experience are encouraged to apply for a scholarship.
Applications and supporting materials for the next Executive Development Institute class must be received by June 15, 2010
A completed application packet includes these four elements:
- Current resume
- Letter of recommensation from a colleague in campus public safety
- Letter of recommendation from immediate supervisor or department head
- Completed and signed application form submitted by the due date
