Nick Calkins, Colorado College

Nick Calkins, Colorado CollegeNick Calkins is the Associate Director of Campus Safety at Colorado College. He has 18 years of campus safety experience, including eight years with the American University Department of Public Safety, one year with the Colorado Springs Police Department, and is now in his ninth year with the Department of Campus Safety at Colorado College. His background is primarily in parking, transportation, and special events management. He has served as a student officer, a parking enforcement officer, a transportation and parking enforcement coordinator, an emergency response team member, a personal protection detail lead, and a sexual misconduct investigator. Nick is a member of Colorado College’s emergency preparedness committee, he is an International Police Mountain Bike Association certified bike patrol officer, a CPTED certified inspector, and one of Colorado College’s anti-discrimination/sexual misconduct investigators. He has a bachelor's degree in International Studies with a focus in Conflict Resolution from the American University School of International Service.
