IACLEA Welcomes NACCOP as a Corporate Partner

IACLEA is pleased to announce that the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals (NACCOP) became the Association’s tenth Corporate Partner on November 15. Both organizations believe that the partnership will enhance the educational support to IACLEA members in complying with the federal Clery Act.

“We are pleased that NACCOP and its members will work closely with IACLEA members to promote campus public safety through adhering to crime prevention initiatives outlined in the Clery Act,” said IACLEA President David Bousquet, chief of police at Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts. “Clery compliance is a central focus within all campus public safety agencies. We hope this partnership enhances our members’ efforts toward effective and efficient crime reporting.”

“NACCOP is excited to join IACLEA as a Corporate Partner to expand our reach in providing educational opportunities to campus public safety professionals regarding compliance with the Clery Act,” said Dolores Stafford, NACCOP executive director and an IACLEA past president. “Through initiatives such as new regional classes that will launch around the country in partnership with IACLEA in 2018, we will help institutions train their Clery Compliance Coordinators and other staff members who need to keep abreast of changes to the law and need to understand the practical application of the law to their institutions.”

The National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals (NACCOP) provides a professional association for Clery compliance officers and professionals to collaborate with each other and share resources and best practices. Members are also offered opportunities to participate in professional development engagements that support colleges and universities in their efforts to comply with the Clery Act.

NACCOP delivers members with resources to enhance their knowledge of the Clery Act by offering education and training opportunities for the employees who are acting as Clery Compliance Officers on college campuses as well as information about Clery-related news and legislative updates.

NACCOP joins IACLEA’s nine other Corporate Partners. Support from IACLEA’s Corporate Partners augments the implementation of the Association’s strategic initiatives, furthers its educational mission, and enhances the ability of campus public safety agencies to protect institutions of higher education. Additional information on the Corporate Partnership Program can be found in the About Us Section.
