NACCOP Renews Support

The International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) announced today that the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals (NACCOP) has renewed its Corporate Partner agreement with IACLEA to support the Association’s educational efforts to aid higher education institutions’ compliance with the federal Clery Act.

“IACLEA is proud to continue our alliance with the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals (NACCOP),” said IACLEA President Paul Ominsky, executive director of public safety at Princeton University. “Compliance with the Clery Act is an important responsibility for campus public safety professionals. The training and tools that NACCOP experts provide are invaluable for campus public safety agency personnel.”

"Personnel from institutions of higher education can drive in and receive high-quality training from knowledgeable and skilled NACCOP instructors," said Dolores Stafford, executive director of NACCOP.

"The NACCOP team is thrilled to renew our partnership with IACLEA,” said NACCOP Executive Director Dolores Stafford, who is an IACLEA past president. “Together, we are bringing a solid two-day Clery Act class to areas of the country where we have not typically held classes. Personnel from institutions of higher education from that area can drive in and receive high-quality training from knowledgeable and skilled NACCOP instructors. This is a win-win for our collective members and for the two Associations.”

The organizations unveiled in 2018 a new course, Foundations of the Clery Act, that provides a basic overview of Clery Act requirements and is suited for people new to the Clery Act as well as those who have previously attended Clery Act training. The curriculum is continually updated to include new information received from the US Department of Education. The courses will be offered in 10 locations in 2019.

NACCOP joins IACLEA’s nine other Corporate Partners. Support from IACLEA’s Corporate Partners augments the implementation of the Association’s strategic initiatives, furthers its educational mission, and enhances the ability of campus public safety agencies to protect institutions of higher education.
