The 61st IACLEA Annual Conference & Exposition will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, June 25-28, 2019.  You asked, and we listened. New this year: the conference will be held Tuesday–Friday, rather than falling on your valuable weekend time!

Beyond the breathtaking sights of ocean and mountains surrounding the city, Vancouver and the conference venues are surrounded by excellent restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Summer is peak season in Vancouver, so you’ll want to make the most of your time in the beautiful city before and after the conference! #IACLEA2019 is expected to be the largest Canadian IACLEA conference to date!  You do not want to miss being a part of this history-making event. IACLEA is pleased to be working with host institution the University of British Columbia Campus Safety Department to bring you an educational and unforgettable conference.

Also, keep in mind that the American dollar is strong (currently $.77 USD is equivalent to $1.00 CAD). So make sure to check the conversion when you book your hotel rooms at our host hotels: the historic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver or the modern Hyatt Regency Vancouver.  Special rates are available at both hotels—under $200 in U.S. dollars!

Other things to consider when planning your trip:

• Domestic and international flights pass through Vancouver International Airport, located less than 10 miles from the host hotels.  
• Getting around the city is made easy with the SkyTrain, taxis, and the Hop-On Hop-Off Tours.
• Seattle, scenic Whistler, and Victoria are just a few hours away.
• The average temperature in June is 20-25 C/68-77o F, sunny, and mild.
