IACLEA Welcomes New Employees to Support Expanding Programs

The IACLEA Headquarters staff was pleased to welcome three new employees in December to support the operational and program improvements to our expanding roster of member benefits. The new team members began onboarding December 10, with orientation briefings from staff and committee members with whom they will collaborate.

As announced on IACLEA-L November 30, Altmann Pannell is IACLEA’s new director of government and external relations. Pannell brings extensive government relations liaison experience at non-profit and government entities to the job. He joins the Association most recently from Food and Friends Inc., where he served as intergovernmental relations and public funding grants manager. Previously, he held several constituent services positions, working for county council members, as well as stints with a judge, state's attorney, and a Maryland lieutenant governor. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park and holds a master's degree from Bowie State University (Maryland); both universities are IACLEA member institutions!

Cassandra Pair joins the Professional Services Program as the project coordinator, a newly created position. Pair has extensive experience managing the National Architectural Accreditation Board’s (NAAB) architectural accreditation program. Her previous experience was with public radio and television.

“I am simply ecstatic to have joined the IACLEA family!” said Pair. “I look forward to getting to know our campus law enforcement brethren and to working with the director of professional services in manifesting his visions for continuing to grow, enhance, and nurture the accreditation process.”

O’Neill Singleton will assume the duties of another newly created position: program associate, supporting communications, training, and government and external relations. Singleton joins IACLEA after working for a business providing financial and management consulting services. He is a graduate of Lincoln University (Pennsylvania), another IACLEA member institution.

“My first days as an IACLEA employee have been filed with enthusiasm and intrigue,” said Singleton. “Having a dual point of view—as a former Lincoln University student and now as an employee learning about the services and assistance we provide—I already understand that IACLEA exemplifies what an excellent organization for campus law enforcement is composed of. Through the helpfulness and insight of the current employees, I am thrilled to assist Association members in the acclaimed compacity IACLEA is known for.”

The Board of Directors approved the hiring of two new staff members to ensure that directors of the key programs can continue to improve and expand the services and member benefits that each of you receives.

We hope that you continue to enjoy all that IACLEA has to offer you and your agency!
