In the past three months, the IACLEA Commission on Accreditation awarded accreditation to the following agencies. The entire IACLEA leadership congratulates each and every member of the following agencies on the significant achievement of earning IACLEA Accreditation!

“We are happy to recognize the University of Cincinnati for achieving its initial award of accreditation, as well as the four agencies that have achieved accreditation multiple times,” said Jessica Luedtke, chair of the Accreditation Commission.

“This diverse group of agencies reflects the growing ranks of accredited agencies.” 

This milestone places these agencies in an exclusive group of campus police and public safety agencies that have made the commitment and done the work to demonstrate their commitment to excellence: today, tomorrow, and into the future. Thank you to those agencies who submitted articles from their campus publications touting their accreditation awards.

“Receiving accreditation from IACLEA is a major accomplishment for the UCPD. It demonstrates to our community that we operate with quality policing procedures and we are committed to continued improvement,” UCPD Chief Maris Herold said.

First Reaccreditation

• Indiana State University Police Department
• University of Houston Police Department 

Third Reaccreditation

• Anne Arundel Community College (Maryland) Police Department

Accreditation Manager Major Cleveland Smith forwarded a nice segment that appeared in the Campus News Letter for Faculty and Staff

The AACC News Roundup from Feb. 18, conveyed the good news to the campus community, noting: “The report stated "Assessors found the Anne Arundel Community College Police Department to be a dedicated team of campus law enforcement and public safety professionals. It was clear the safety and security of students, faculty and staff is at the forefront of their mission.’”

These and other agencies earning IACLEA Accreditation will be recognized at the Accreditation Awards ceremony on June 24, during the Annual Conference & Exposition in New Orleans.
