IACLEA bid a bittersweet farewell to International Director Malcolm Dawson, BEM (British Empire Medal), who voluntarily stepped down from his role on the Board of Directors. Head of Security at the University of Leeds in England, Dawson was elected to the Board in 2019 and sworn in during the Annual Business Meeting in June 2019.

Recognized as always congenial and highly engaged, Director Dawson has served as an outstanding representative to the international security community, said IACLEA President Eric M. Heath. “It has been a pleasure working with Malcolm, and we will certainly miss him. Malcolm enthusiastically and effectively engaged in all Board matters, and he worked diligently to share the benefits of IACLEA membership with security professionals across Europe. We appreciate his contributions to the Association,” President Heath stated.
