Lewis’s regional directorship is now vacant as he is departing from Idaho State University after six years of service as the Chief Security Officer & Director of Public Safety. Even though he is leaving Idaho State, he has accepted a position as Vice President for Public Safety & Emergency Preparedness at Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana. Idaho State had a farewell party for Eakins on June 21.

President Patrick Ogden“Please join me in congratulating Lewis Eakins on the appointment of Director-at-Large. He has been a valued member of the Board of Directors for several years, and despite his recent move to Indiana, IACLEA is lucky to retain his invaluable service,” President Ogden said.

“Please also join me in congratulating Jim Pollard on his upcoming retirement,” Ogden continued. “I wish him all the best in this new stage of life—and I’m certain he’d be delighted to receive your well wishes, too.”

“We look forward to the upcoming special selection and finding eligible nominees to serve in both vacant director positions,” Ogden said.
