Capitol Hill Day 2015

Capitol Hill Day 2015

Capitol HillIACLEA's eighth annual Capitol Hill Day, held on Thursday, March 26, in Washington DC, was a success. Nearly 25 IACLEA members from 16 states and the District of Columbia participated in about 70 meetings with Members of Congress or their staff members. IACLEA President David Perry presented the 2015 Congressional Champion Award to U.S. Rep. Peter King of New York in recognition for his strong support for campus public safety and, in particular, the Sean Collier bill, which would provide equity in death benefits to the families of sworn officers who are employed at private institutions.
