The College of New Jersey office of Campus Police Services in Ewing NJ will be accepting applications for the position title Captain/Associate Director.

Under the supervision of the Police Chief/Director of Campus Security, the Police Captain provides administrative and budgetary direction to ensure a safe and secure community environment, incorporating the principles of community policing. The Police Captain-Administration functions as Chief of Staff for the Office of Campus Police Services, overseeing all administrative functions, managing the investigative function, and function as CALEA Accreditation Manager, and acts in place of the Chief in the event of his/her absence. The Associate Director/Captain of Police Services will assist with all administrative functions and work with the security audit to ensure compliance of the department with all AG Directives.

The candidate will fulfill all of the requirements of a sworn officer including firearms qualification, abiding by all Attorney General Guideline, and training requirements. The Captain position is a sworn position and oversees the civilian staff, writes policies, liaisons with the Center for Global Engagement. Provides administrative and executive assistance to the Chief of Police/Director of Campus Security. Reviews all emergency management policies. Review, analyze and recommend the implementation of policies and procedures to improve the quality of services provided by the Office of Campus Police Services, works closely with Human Resources to fill vacant positions in Campus Police.
