Management & Policy Analysis Studies
IACLEA’s management and policy analysis studies are comprehensive, in-depth analyses of specific campus public safety challenges. The management study is a customized examination of specific issues to evaluate the available options to implement the goals of campus or public safety leaders.
Working closely with public safety and/or campus administrators, IACLEA assists in problem identification, provides an analytical and descriptive analysis of existing policies and programs, and then provides recommendations and strategies for formulating new initiatives, policies, and organizational strategies.
IACLEA will identify a project team with expertise in the study’s focus areas. The team will travel to the campus to interview individuals and observe agency practices. Additional project work, such as analysis of agency policies, reports, and data; surveys of agency or campus employees; and research into campus public safety best practices, will be conducted both on- and off-site.
The team will produce draft and final reports with data-driven, evidence-based, and action-focused recommendations and implementation strategies that align agency strategies, policies, programs, and tactics.
The scope of the management studies can include, but is not limited to:
- Consolidation Studies
- Critical Incident Reviews
- Organizational Analysis
- Policy Review and Development
- Racial/Ethnic Relations
- Labor-Management Relations
- Officer Recruitment
- Leadership Assessment and Development
- Risk Management Strategies
- Strategic Planning
- Succession Planning
- Crime Prevention and Investigation Strategies
- Staffing Needs, Requirements, Assignments, and Schedules
- Technology and Automation Needs Assessments.
