University of British Columbia Will Serve as Host for #IACLEA2019

University of British Columbia Campus Security Operations Manager Ali MojdehiThe University of British Columbia (UBC) is a global center for teaching, learning, and research, consistently ranked among the top 20 public universities in the world and recently recognized as North America’s most international university.

UBC’s safety function is handled by Campus Security, staffed by patrol officers who watch over a campus of more than 1000 acres, including approximately 550 buildings. Under the leadership of Operations Manager Ali Mojdehi, Campus Security provides security services including security patrols, security dispatch, and alarm response, access control, investigations, threat assessment & management, event security, crime prevention initiatives, community outreach, and security technology. The patrol officers play a key role of being UBC representatives to the community by being visible and vigilant. The campus is patrolled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on foot, bike, and vehicle.

The department is a team of knowledgeable security professionals dedicated to serving the campus community. Agency personnel are committed to acting ethically at all times and providing services in a professional and inclusive manner. Their goal is to be a welcoming and caring team who are always ready to assist the community for all its security needs thereby helping to create a safer campus.
