IACLEA Public Policy Statement:

The following policy priorities from IACLEA are published with the intention to educate and inform the Executive Branch of the United States Government, relevant federal agencies, and the 117th Congress on the campus public safety profession, and to advance policies that promote the safety and well-being of college and university students as well as the entire campus community.

Although part of the law enforcement family, campus public safety offers a higher level of service, and campus police departments exist as part of a network of support on their campus.

IACLEA understands and embraces the unique nature of campus life and the campus public safety profession. It further promotes policies and programming to enhance the safety of the millions of college students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors. IACLEA is committed to ensuring the highest level of security surrounding critical infrastructure and research facilities.
