A shifting societal landscape is ushering in a new era of campus law enforcement and security services and the world of policing no longer remains a production of reactive mitigation policies but instead must continually adapt to meet the needs of a transforming society.  A successful campus policing model should be adaptable and provide effective solutions for a changing future.  This adaptation takes effort and courage.

The University of Texas Police at Houston serves 2 UT System institutions, MD Anderson Cancer Center and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. By combining vigilance, adaptation, progressive policing skills and vision, Chief Adcox has provided the staff the guidance and resources to overcome new challenges.

Under his leadership, staff are preserving “daily campus life” and incorporating the prevention, applicable studies, threats, trends, foresight, capabilities enhancement and projected growth to efficiently and effectively protect the people, property and institutional missions.
