Capitol Hill Day 2012

Capitol Hill Day 2012

Thank you for attending the 2012 Capitol Hill Day on March 1 at the U.S. Capitol. IACLEA members made more than 30 personal visits to the offices of Members of Congress. President Paul V. Verrecchia presented the fifth annual Congressional Champion Award to U.S. Senator Mark Warner of Virginia. Look for highlights in the March-April 2012 edition of the Campus Law Enforcement Journal.

The purpose of the annual Capitol Hill Day is to educate key Congressional Members and staff regarding legislation that is important to campus public safety. IACLEA members meet with their Congressional Representatives and share with their elected officials the priorities and challenges facing campus public safety departments. Capitol Hill Day is held in March of each year. In addition to the Congressional visits, IACLEA presents the Congressional Champion Award each year to a Member of Congress in recognition of support for campus public safety. Please note that attendance at the Capitol Hill Day is restricted to IACLEA Institutional, Professional, and Associate Members.
